1. OUR CORE VALUES

Sports are universal and bring people together beyond differences. At SportFriends, we celebrate diversity and welcome all sports enthusiasts, regardless of their level, age, origin or identity.

We expect every member to:

• Treat others with respect and kindness
• Encourage and support other community members
• Accept differences in level and experience
• Show sportsmanship, in victory and defeat

⚡ Zero Tolerance

SportFriends applies zero tolerance for the following behaviors:

• Harassment in all its forms (moral, sexual, discriminatory)
• Persistent flirting or unsolicited sexual behavior
• Discriminatory remarks (racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, etc.)
• Aggressive behavior or intimidation
• Threats or incitement to violence
• Spam or unauthorized advertising

Any behavior contrary to these values will result in immediate sanctions, up to and including permanent ban.

2. THE KARMA SYSTEM ⭐

Karma is the currency of respect at SportFriends. It reflects your positive contribution to the community.

How to earn Karma?

• 🔼 Upvotes: When other members appreciate your messages, events or contributions
• 💚 Donations: By supporting the app, you receive bonus Karma points
• 🎯 Active participation: Creating Spots, organizing events, helping other members
• 🏅 Exemplary behavior: Respecting the rules and embodying community values

How to lose Karma?

• 🔽 Downvotes: When your messages are reported as inappropriate
• ⚠️ Warnings: Moderative sanctions reduce your Karma
• 🚫 Toxic behaviors: Harassment, spam, aggression

3. "WOMEN ONLY" SPACES 👭

Spots marked "Women Only" are Safe Spaces reserved exclusively for women and people identifying as such.

Why these spaces?

We recognize that some women may feel more comfortable practicing sports in a non-mixed environment. These spaces allow to:

• Create a safe and welcoming environment
• Encourage sports practice without pressure or judgment
• Foster solidarity and mutual support among women
• Respect everyone's preferences and needs

🚨 Strict rule

We take the safety of our members very seriously. Reports are processed as a priority and sanctions applied immediately.

4. MODERATION SYSTEM 🛡️

Tools at your disposal

🔇 Mute (Make invisible)

If a user adopts toxic or inappropriate behavior, you can Mute them instantly:

• Their messages become invisible to you
• They can no longer interact with your content
• You no longer receive notifications from them
• The action is immediate and reversible

🚩 Report

In case of serious behavior (harassment, discrimination, threats), report the user:

• Our moderation team reviews the report within 24h
• Evidence (screenshots, messages) is preserved
• Sanctions are applied if the behavior is confirmed
• You are informed of the measures taken

Progressive sanctions

Note: Serious violations (harassment, threats, "Women Only" infiltration) result in immediate ban without prior steps.

5. BEST PRACTICES 💚

In Spots and events

• ✅ Be punctual and notify if you can't make it
• ✅ Respect the indicated level (beginner, intermediate, advanced)
• ✅ Share equipment and space fairly
• ✅ Encourage beginners and share your tips
• ✅ Clean up and tidy after use

In messages and interactions

• ✅ Use respectful and kind language
• ✅ Stay on topic about sports and activities
• ✅ Accept constructive criticism with openness
• ✅ Value positive contributions with upvotes
• ✅ Report inappropriate behavior

What to avoid

• ❌ Cancel at the last minute without valid reason
• ❌ Monopolize the conversation or space
• ❌ Criticize destructively
• ❌ Share personal information of other members
• ❌ Use the app for commercial purposes without authorization

6. DATA PROTECTION AND PRIVACY 🔒

Your safety and privacy are priorities:

• Never share your banking information or passwords
• Control the visibility of your profile and information
• Report any phishing or scam attempts
• Use the app's channels to communicate
• Consult our Privacy Policy for more details
